Just a Brief Update

Finished turquoise
The finished turquoise, all ready for sewing

I’m sitting outside, the heat is terrible but I can’t make myself go into the house right now. I’m expecting out of state company any minute. WOO HOO! My mom, middle daughter and two nieces are coming for my baby girl’s graduation.

UGH! Graduation. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited about it all, I really am – but – at the same time I’m sort of melancholy and in a bit of a funk.  My baby girl is growing up. And for some strange reason, since I discovered this fact – like.. you know, I didn’t already know it – I’ve been longing to have another baby. Yes. I know. Shoot me now please, I must be insane. Do all women go through this?

Please tell me you do. Otherwise, I’m going to feel completely bonkers.

Work hasn’t really been happening this week. I finished the dress my daughter wanted to wear under her robe at graduation. Don’t worry, I will be posting photos of it but not until she’s IN it.

However, in shop related news:

I got some scrumptious new fabrics to make my hobo bags from and a few computer bags too. I’ll be listing a couple next week.

I’m also creating creating creating in anticipation of the Christmas in July sale. I hope you book mark your calendars and plant to visit – and shop, of course.

This year, we’re having a HUGE C.I.J. sale, and 25% of all the proceeds raised will go to the Shiloh Home of Hope for Women in Emporia Kansas.  This is a wonderful ministry for young women in need, much like I was so many years ago. And I’m so excited about the opperunity to help them reach their goals. OUR own goal for the sale is to be able to donate $250.00 to the Home.

What will we be selling this year? Well.. bags, jewelry and accessories of course, but we’ll also have home decor items and holiday themed items as well as decorations and stocking stuffers. This year we’re also featuring hand made cards. These are drawn individually, one at a time and no two are alike.

So.. that’s probably it for this week. Tomorrow night is the big night and I’ll have guests until Monday morning.

I want to wish you all a safe and blessed holiday weekend. DRIVE CAREFULLY! BUCKLE UP! NO TEXTING! Ya’ hear?
